Galileo's Summons
The Holy Office sent Galileo a letter. The letter was a summons to the Inquisition in Rome. The date was set for October 1633 but because Galileo had arthritis and was avoiding the plague the date was pushed back to November.
Inquisition Transcript
Many people have researched to find the acts of the trial of Galileo They don't have the original but they have a copy from the voluminous dossiers'. The Transcript was in the Congregation of Index for centuries, from the holy offices, then emigrated to Paris during seizures of the Vatican Archives in 1810 by Napoleon. It then became Duke of Blacas' and was sent by the widow to the Vatican in 1843.
